Michael David Schimek
Michael David Schimek is Counsel at Cahill Gambino LLP. Prior to joining Cahill Gambino, Mr. Schimek was a partner with the law firm of Doyle, Restrepo, Harvin & Robbins, LLP in Houston, Texas. His legal practice has focused primarily on litigating commercial disputes. Mr. Schimek has represented corporations, corporate officers, business partners, accountants and attorneys in commercial and legal malpractice disputes. Clients that Mr. Schimek has represented include, Deutsche Bank; Ernst & Young; Deloitte & Touche; Boots & Coots International Well Control; and Baker & McKenzie.

Mr. Schimek graduated magna cum laude from Texas A&M University with a BBA, and with honors from Baylor School of Law. While at Baylor, he served on the Baylor Law review as Lead Articles Editor. After graduation, Mr. Schimek clerked for the Honorable Walter S. Smith, Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas. Mr. Schimek is licensed to practice before the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York and the Southern, Western and Northern Districts of Texas. Mr. Schimek has also served as an officer for the Special Olympics Committee (Attorney Section) and Houston Volunteer Lawyers Program.
